Psalm 16:11
Life From Whose Perspective?
Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of LIFE; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Read the context: Psalm 16

Ponder:
? Why does someone need God to make known to them "the path of life?"
? When can a person be "in God's presence," or "at His right hand?"
? How is this "life," "joy" and "pleasure" different from what the world offers?

jne: Read all eleven verses of Psalm 16. David seems to have written this Psalm in the midst of: "needing preservation;" being surrounded by a multiplicity of other "gods" and other religious people;" seeing the "sorrow" of people who worship other gods; and thinking about how his "life" is different. Thinking about this contrast, David "blesses the LORD," is not "shaken," is "glad,' and "dwells secure." He is "not abandoned," either in this life or the next.
David sees his "LIFE" from God's perspective rather than how the world sees "life." From whose perspective do you see your life?
