Am I willing to rethink what
I have been taught and believe
about the Bible's Gospel?
Am I willing to seriously ponder
what the Bible itself says.

In addition to Genesis 3 the follow verses
(among many others)
describe
NINE REALITIES OF LIFE

WE ALL HAVE FOUR DEADLY PROBLEMS

1. WE ARE ALL EASILY AND WILLINGLY DECEIVED.
Genesis 3:6 "So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise,"
Deuteronomy 11:16 Take care lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them;
Galatians 6:3 For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
Ephesians 5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
James 1:26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless.
1John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
2John :7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist

2. WE ALL WANT TO BE A GOD.
Genesis 3:5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
Deuteronomy 12:8 You shall not do according to all that we are doing here today, everyone doing whatever is right in his own eyes,
Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart
Matthew 23:12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

3. WE ALL MISUNDERSTAND BIBLE WORDS
Genesis 3:6 "So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise,"
Proverbs 4:19 The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.
Isaiah 40:21 Do you not know? Do you not hear? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.

4. WE ARE ALL ENEMIES OF GOD FACING HIS JUDGMENT.
Genesis 3:22-24 Then the LORD God said, 'Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat and live forever -- therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. He drove out the man and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the the tree of life."
Psalm 139:20 They speak against you with malicious intent; your enemies take your name in vain.
Jeremiah 30:1 All your lovers have forgotten you; they care nothing for you; for I have dealt you the blow of an enemy, the punishment of a merciless foe, because your guilt is great, because your sins are flagrant
James 4:4 You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

WE ALL CHOOSE A GOD TO RESCUE US

5. THERE ARE gods WHO CANNOT AND DO NOT RESCUE US.
Genesis 3:4 But the serpent said to the woman, 'You will not surely die.'"
John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
1John 5:19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
Ephesians2:1-3 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins :2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— :3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

6. THERE IS ONE GOD WHO CAN AND DOES RESCUE US.
Genesis 3:21 "And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them."
Isaiah 45:22 Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other."
Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have LIFE and have it abundantly.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

WE MUST BELIEVE IN THE ONE TRUE GOD

7. BELIEVE GOD!
(Believe / Faith / Trust are all the same Greek word)
(Believing God involves: Confession, Repentance, and Submission)
Genesis 3:3 "But God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'"
a. Confess - Say to God:"I Admit You are Right and I am wrong
1John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
b. Repent - Say to God: "I have been living for myself, I want to start living for You."
Mathew 4:17 "From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
c. Submit - Say to God: I want Your will to be my will."
James 4;7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
John 3:15-18 … that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. :16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. :17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. :18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
John 6:28,29 Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” :29 Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
1John 1:5-2:1 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. :6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. :7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. :8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. :9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. :10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 2:1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

WHAT WE BELIEVE DETERMINES
OUR PRESENT AND ETERNAL EXISTENCE

8. UNBELIEF RESULTS IN IMMEDIATE AND FUTURE SPIRITUAL DEATH AND JUDGMENT.
Genesis 3:7,10 "Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig eaves together and made themselves loincloths."
"And he(Adam) said, 'I heard the sound or you (God) in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself."
Romans 6:16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you
obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
Ephesians2:1-3 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins :2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— :3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
1John 2:16,17 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

9. BELIEF HAS BLESSING AND LIFE.
Genesis 3:20 The man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living."
Romans 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of LIFE; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
John 17:3 And this is eternal LIFE, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
1Peter 1:3–12 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, :4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, :5 who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. :6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, :7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. :8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, :9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

DO YOU REALLY KNOW?

John 3:16 "“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

John 10:10 Jesus said: "I came that they may have LIFE and have it abundantly."
