A. God can be known.

XII. ABOUT BAPTISM

A. There are different types of baptism.
a. Jewish ceremonial baptism.
Lk 11:38
b. John the Baptist's baptism. Matt 3:6
c. Believer's Spiritual baptism.
Rom 6:3,4
d. Believer's water baptism.
Matt 28:19 Acts 2:41

B. Baptism signifies identification. The person or object being baptized is identified with the person, group, or condition in whose name the baptism takes place.

C. Spiritual baptism is what saves a person, and it is done by the Holy Spirit at the moment a person believes in Jesus Christ.

D. Water baptism is a public declaration of dependence on God for salvation. It is thus for Believers only. It is an outward sign of an inward change that has already taken place in spiritual baptism. Water baptism is not required for salvation, but is a sign of obedience to Christ.

XIII. ABOUT THE LORD'S SUPPER

A. Jesus initiated the practice and gave it meaning.

B. The Lord's Supper is a symbolic ceremony of reminder concerning the Lord's death and soon return.
Lk 22:14-20 1Cor 11:23-26

1. It is not mystical.
2. It is not for the purpose of demonstrating spirituality.
3. It is a corporate and personal reminder, to keep
Jesus' death for our sins and soon coming,
continually before our hearts and minds.

C. The Lord's Supper is for believers only. It is limited further only by the requirement that the person be in fellowship with God.
