Proverbs 22:7
The rich rules over the poor,
and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
Read the context: Proverbs 22
Ponder:
1. This seems rather obvious. Why does the Bible have to address the issue?
2. It seems reasonable that the rich would deny "ruling over the poor." And also deny making the poor their "slaves."
3. Who does this verse seek to warn?
4. Who is responsible for changing "ruling and slavery?"
